NEW CHAPTER IN CRICKET CLUB HISTORY

With an outstanding new pavilion Shadwell Cricket Club are embarking on a new, exciting chapter of the clubs 116 year history. The new ground has been home to Shadwell CC for three seasons now and in this short time it has already proven to be an excellent facility for cricket with the wicket providing something for both batsman and bowler alike. The brand new pavilion serves to further enhance recent advances in our facilities that also include sight screens, practice nets and covers. It is our aim to provide an inclusive, family orientated environment where cricket can be enjoyed by all members of the family and community.

To assist us in this quest we are seeking new players at both senior and junior level to join us at this exciting stage of our club development. All standards of player are welcome as well as members of the public that may be interested in assisting the club with other aspects of the game such as scoring, serving of refreshments, work on the ground or committee etc.

Teams include:

Senior 1st and 2nd Teams that play Saturday afternoons in the Wetherby Cricket League (The 1st XI have won the WCL premier knockout competition ‘The Fleetwood Cup’ in both 2010 and 2011).

Midweek XI (Harrogate League)

Junior teams (U11 years, U13, U15 and U17 age groups). We also provide high quality coaching for all our junior teams on throughout the summer and winter months. We have won numerous junior trophies in recent years including the prestigious U17 Nicholas Priestley trophy for the last two seasons.
